A celebration of organic florals, abundant ceremony meadows, and modern California romance.
With its soaring ceilings, bright white walls, and clean architectural lines, Carter Valley Ranch provided the perfect backdrop for a design centered around abundance, movement, and seasonality.
The vision for this design was rooted in the idea of a modern California celebration inspired by the beauty of an overflowing garden. We wanted the florals to feel as though they had naturally grown into the venue itself, softening the clean architecture with layers of texture, movement, and color.
The floral palette combined soft peach garden roses, delicate blush tones, creamy neutrals, rich burgundy cosmos, airy textural blooms, and cheerful pops of golden yellow. Rather than creating tightly structured arrangements, each design was intentionally crafted to feel organic and effortless, allowing every bloom to contribute to the overall sense of abundance.
The ceremony installation became the focal point of the space. A sprawling floral meadow stretched across the front of the room beneath Carter Valley Ranch’s dramatic windows, creating the feeling of a garden unfolding indoors. Layers of seasonal flowers, textural elements, and natural movement brought warmth to the modern interior while still allowing the venue’s architecture to shine.
Throughout the reception design, lush floral centerpieces paired beautifully with soft green linens, warm wood tones, candlelight, and thoughtfully layered place settings. The combination felt inviting and romantic while maintaining an elevated and refined aesthetic. Every element was chosen to complement the floral design rather than compete with it, resulting in a cohesive atmosphere that felt effortless and welcoming.
One of our favorite details was the stationery styling, which incorporated grapes, pears, and artichokes as a nod to California’s rich agricultural landscape. These seasonal elements added texture, color, and a sense of place while helping tell a cohesive design story from beginning to end.
The bridal bouquet featured a vibrant collection of blooms in shades of blush, peach, cream, raspberry, and burgundy, finished with flowing silk ribbon for a romantic and painterly feel. The petite bouquet brought together the entire design, balancing softness, color, and movement.
What we love most about this design is the contrast between the venue’s clean modern backdrop and the untamed beauty of the florals. The result was a design that felt romantic yet approachable, refined without feeling overly formal, and deeply inspired by the beauty of the California countryside.
