ABOUT US
about us
I grew up in a small farming town in Northern California, where the pace was slow and the beauty of the seasons made a lasting impression on me. In high school, I took a floral design class that included a wedding project—and I instantly fell in love with the art of wedding design.
I went on to study agricultural business in college, but my heart kept pulling me in another direction. I decided to follow my passion and pursue a career in the wedding industry. For years, I immersed myself in various roles, learning from every event and mentor I could —but I knew something was still missing.
One day, a position opened up at a local floral design studio, and I took a chance. That decision changed everything. I discovered that floral design brought a creative spark I hadn’t yet found—and when combined with wedding design, it felt like I had found my life’s true calling.
After gaining invaluable experience, I launched my own business under the name Dry Creek Blossoms. And in 2024, I stepped into a new chapter with a name that reflects both my creative vision and personal journey: Erica Gravel Design.
I’m married to the love of my life, Zac, and we recently welcomed our baby boy into the world—a new adventure that has made life even more meaningful. We share our days with two beloved dogs: a Queensland Heeler and a Labradane who complete our little family and keep things full of joy, chaos, and cuddles.
Zac is the backbone of EGD, bringing an exceptional ble
nd of organization, problem solving, and hands-on expertise. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Zac has a deep love for farming, particularly working with winegrapes—a passion he brings to both our business and everyday life.
As an equal partner in the business, he is the mastermind behind the logistics and mechanics of our larger floral installations, ensuring every detail runs smoothly. Whether it’s building a floral structure or troubleshooting a last minute challenge, Zac’s ability to find quick, effective solutions is nothing short of remarkable.
Outside of work, Zac enjoys spending time in nature, BBQing and making homemade icecream on Sunday afternoons. Together, we form an incredible team, and our florals wouldn’t come to life without his invaluable support and vision.
