Pageo also holds a special place in my heart because it’s where my husband, Zac, and I were married. Every time I return to design flowers there, it feels a little like coming home. I’ve experienced the venue as both a bride and a florist, and I genuinely believe it’s one of the most beautiful places to get married in the Central Valley.
Why I Love Pageo Lavender Farm Wedding Venue
One of the things that makes Pageo so special is that it doesn’t feel like a venue that was built overnight. The mature trees, established landscaping, and sprawling grounds give it a sense of permanence that’s hard to find. It’s a venue that’s been loved by Central Valley couples for years, and it continues to be one of my favorites to return to.
If you’re planning a late spring wedding, May is especially magical. The lavender fields are typically in bloom, and as the afternoon warms into evening, the fragrance drifts throughout the property. It’s subtle, calming, and unlike any other venue in the Central Valley.
Having been married at Pageo myself, I can honestly say the scent of the lavender has become forever tied to that day in my memory. Every time I catch the fragrance of fresh lavender, I’m immediately transported back to our wedding day. It’s such a unique part of getting married at Pageo—something your photographs can’t fully capture, but something you’ll carry with you long after the celebration is over.

When people describe Pageo, they often call the reception space “the barn.” While that’s technically what many locals refer to it as, I think that description sells it short. It’s much more refined than a traditional barn venue. The polished concrete floors, exposed wood beams, soaring peaked ceilings, and modern square windows create a space that feels warm, clean, and almost European in its design. It’s one of my favorite reception spaces in the area because it strikes a balance between warm and modern. The natural wood beams keep it inviting, while the clean architectural lines make it feel elevated and timeless.
For couples who prefer dining outdoors, Pageo also offers a beautiful reception space beneath mature trees strung with hundreds of café lights. As the sun sets and the lights begin to glow, the entire property transforms into one of the most romantic settings in the area.
A Whimsical Garden-Inspired Wedding for Mora
One of my favorite weddings I’ve designed at Pageo was for Mora.
From our very first conversations, she had an incredibly clear vision. She wanted her flowers to feel naturally gathered—as though someone had wandered through an abundant summer garden and collected the most beautiful blooms they could find. The overall aesthetic was whimsical, ethereal, and effortlessly romantic, which suited her personality perfectly.
Interestingly, this style is often much more difficult to create than people expect.
Designs that appear loose and effortless require an incredible amount of intention. Every flower has to feel like it belongs exactly where it is without looking overly designed. Achieving that balance takes thoughtful sourcing, carefully selected flower varieties, and a lot of restraint.
Rather than relying on the traditional wholesale flower market, we sourced all of Mora’s flowers from specialty flower farms along the California coast. Those growers produce delicate seasonal varieties that simply aren’t available through standard suppliers.
Pansies, bachelor buttons, phlox, garden roses and other premium summer blooms became the foundation of the floral palette. We paired those delicate flowers with chartreuse hanging amaranth, which added movement, texture, and unexpected pops of vibrant green throughout the arrangements.
One of my favorite design decisions was skipping traditional greenery almost entirely.
Instead, we used fresh herbs throughout the arrangements, creating an organic texture that perfectly complemented the naturally gathered aesthetic. The herbs added softness, movement, and even a subtle fragrance that made the flowers feel as though they had been picked straight from a flourishing garden. Every ingredient was intentionally selected. Nothing felt overly polished or manufactured. The goal wasn’t perfection—it was creating flowers that felt alive.
Thoughtful Details
One of my favorite moments from the day was styling Mora’s wedding cake.
She envisioned fresh fruit paired with delicate pansies, creating something that felt straight out of an English garden. We styled the cake with those elements to complement the floral design rather than compete with it, making it feel like a natural extension of the overall aesthetic.
I love details like these because they tell guests something about the couple before a single slice of cake is ever served. The fruit, the flowers, and the soft garden-inspired palette all worked together to create a celebration that felt unmistakably like Mora.
Why This Design Worked So Well at Pageo
Every venue has its own personality, and I think one of the reasons this wedding felt so successful is because Mora’s vision naturally complemented everything Pageo already offers.
The clean architecture of the reception space balanced the softness of the flowers beautifully, while the mature landscaping outside made the whimsical floral palette feel completely at home. Nothing felt forced. The venue and the flowers simply worked together.
As guests transitioned into the reception, the warm wood beams, abundant natural light, and airy atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for flowers that celebrated movement, texture, and seasonality.
From a Florist’s Perspective
One of the reasons I love designing at Pageo Lavender Farm is that the venue already has such a strong sense of place. It doesn’t need to be completely transformed to feel beautiful. Instead, I think the best weddings here embrace what already exists and build upon it.
Rather than filling every corner with flowers, I often encourage couples to invest in a few intentional floral moments that naturally draw your eye. A beautiful ceremony installation, thoughtfully designed reception tables, a statement bar arrangement, or a floral-adorned cake can make a much bigger impact than simply adding more flowers everywhere.
I also love that Pageo works beautifully with so many different design styles. I’ve seen everything from timeless white weddings to colorful garden-inspired celebrations, and the venue adapts effortlessly to each one. Mora’s whimsical vision felt perfectly at home here because the established landscaping, blooming lavender, and elegant reception space already created the perfect backdrop. The flowers didn’t have to compete with the venue—they simply became part of its story.
As both a florist and a former Pageo bride, it’s a venue I’ll always be excited to return to. Every wedding feels different, yet there’s something about the property that always feels familiar.
